Overview

Betway is a gaming company that is licensed in over 15 different countries, and sponsors major brands like West ham united and the national hockey league. their main focus is sports but over the time i was at the company they gradually increased and improved their, casino, live-casino and e-sports offerings.

Role & Process

Playing a key role in the creative department, I drove projects from concept to production, generating fresh designs while upholding brand consistency across all platforms (web, print, social). I collaborated with both senior designers and the wider company to develop impactful marketing campaigns and client work. Additionally, I fostered a creative environment by presenting concepts, mentoring junior designers, and encouraging idea sharing.

Betway Half-Marathon

Over two years, I collaborated with Betway to design and refresh their custom T-shirt for the annual "Betway Half Marathon," a charity event partnered with a major London half marathon (e.g., 2019's Hackney Half). The consistent branding across the company, including the T-shirt design, allowed for effective internal promotion and encouraged participation in this charitable event.

Cheltenham Races

For Betway's annual sponsorship of the Cheltenham horse races, I played a key role in a two-person team designing extensive branding materials. This included strategically positioning and sizing signage across the entire venue to maximise brand visibility.  The designs prominently featured both the Betway logo and "The Hunch," their then-new campaign, leveraging the high-profile event to introduce and familiarise a large audience with this initiative.

Betway Boost

I spearheaded the rebranding of "Betway Boost" and "Super Boost," two of Betway's core customer offerings across 12 international markets. This project encompassed a complete refresh of collateral materials, including website assets, social media elements, and affiliate site content. My focus was on revitalising the visual identity to make Betway's Boost offerings stand out in a competitive landscape. To ensure efficiency, I developed a system of templated assets, allowing for easy updates across various sports fixtures without requiring constant design revisions. This not only elevated the visual appeal of the campaign but also streamlined the workflow for the entire design team.

Internal Re-Brand

I led a comprehensive refresh of Betway's internal communication materials, including TV slides displayed throughout the office, emails, computer lock screens, letterheads, email signatures and the office map. The outdated and dark aesthetic was replaced with a brighter, clearer visual identity to enhance communication effectiveness. A key focus was ensuring easy maintainability. By leveraging PowerPoint's master template tools for slides and implementing hand-coded email styling, I empowered the HR and internal teams to manage future updates independently.
